Teams & Academy Pathway
Progress with purpose—training to team cricket.
Our pathway gives young players clear steps from fundamentals to match play. Build skills, confidence, and character through coached sessions, selection opportunities, and tournament experiences.
How the pathway works
A clear route from first session to match day.
Players move through stages based on readiness—not just age—so they stay challenged, supported, and safe.
Stage 1: Foundations
Grip, stance, throwing, catching, and basic batting/bowling mechanics—built through fun, high-rep drills.
Stage 2: Skill Development
Technique refinement, game awareness, and role-based training (batters, bowlers, wicketkeepers, fielders).
Stage 3: Academy Squads
Selection-based squads with structured sessions, fitness habits, and match scenarios to prepare for competition.
Stage 4: Team Cricket & Tournaments
Fixtures and tournament participation to develop decision-making under pressure, teamwork, and leadership.
Teams & opportunities
Match play that accelerates development.
We create the right environment for players to learn to compete—through coached match scenarios, team selection, and regular game time.
Selection & standards
What we look for (and what we build).
Tryouts help us place players in the right training group. We value effort, coachability, and a positive team mindset—alongside cricket skills.
Coachability
Listening, applying feedback, and showing a growth mindset in every session.
Fundamentals
Safe, repeatable technique in batting, bowling, and fielding—built for long-term progress.
Game awareness
Decision-making, positioning, and understanding match situations—developed through scenarios and match play.
Character & culture
Respect, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship—non-negotiables at US Cricket Academy.
Support around every player
A strong pathway needs strong people—coaches and staff who keep training high-quality, organised, and family-friendly.
